Pre-Marital Counseling
Get your upcoming marriage off to a great start by learning about the principles in God’s word that He lays out for this phase of your life. We recommend our premarital program for all couples that are thinking about getting married, whether you are engaged or not. The program runs for 8 weeks and can be started at any time. We will match you up with your own personal coaches to help you see the great blessing that marriage can be if you do it God’s way.


March Encouragement

As Americans many have bought into the statements of what popular culture says marriage is or isn’t. I would like to say out of the gate that marriage is not a commitment; it is a blood covenant that God created. HE truly wants to bless your marriage so that He might be glorified through it.

A good marriage is two individuals, individually seeking after God. That gives them a common spiritual foundation to weather the storms of life all of us encounter. It also gives us the tools to handle conflict; a good marriage doesn’t avoid conflict but deals with it with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We also need to realize that it is possible to disagree agreeably.

Remember Ephesians 4: 26,27 Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.

Marriage is under attack today because it’s the first institution created by God. God’s plan in this is to begin with me as an individual and get me right with Him, get my marriage right, get my family right, help others get strong, so in turn our church can be strong , and then change our society. Can you see why the enemy doesn’t want your marriage to be successful? He is all about stealing, destroying and killing and that is exactly what he is doing to marriages in America.

The statistics are alarming, whether you are a Christian or not 1 in every 2 marriages ends in divorce.There is one thing that dramatically changes that statistic though, and takes it to 1 in 1152 ending in divorce. That is if a couple learns how to pray together. See in learning to pray together we bring our issues before the one who truly can speak into our specific situation with complete understanding and knowledge of what will resolve our problems, sometimes before they have a chance to even arise. God Almighty!!

Satan is attacking God’s kingdom one family at a time. WE must realize that the first battlefront in the war on families is our marriages.

If our marriage is a covenant relationship with God, satan has no authority. We need to realize our vows were not just some ceremony but rather they were a statement of our faith and devotion to each other and to the Lord.

Having a monogamous relationship with our spouse sets us free to work things out with God’s help. Not buying into what our culture has adopted as normal and giving up when things get difficult is not God’s answer. There is a blessing associated with us saying we are removing the options of walking away from our marriage and determining that we are going to fight for what God designed to be a blessing. The enemy knows it will be a blessing if we don’t give in to his option of quitting on this covenant.

Stand firm in your resolve as husband and wife to never give in to the attack that is on and pray for all the marriages in our church. Remember strong marriages make a strong church which in turn changes our society.
